The NUK Classic orthodontic teat
Description
Description
Discover NUK First Choice Classic Soothers, a reliable soothing solution designed for your baby's daily comfort, day and night.
This soother combines a timeless design with key features for your child's well-being. Its unique orthodontic teat features a pleasant soft zone on top that delicately conforms to the palate. Its extra-flat shape leaves more room for the tongue, promoting natural movement, and its extra-thin and narrow neck allows tiny lips to close almost completely. These features promote healthy teeth and jaw development*.
For continuous peace of mind, the night version with its glow-in-the-dark ring glows softly in the dark, a practical detail helping to easily find the soother during the night. NUK First Choice Classic soothers are available in different sizes (0-6 months, 6-18 months, 18-36 months) for a perfect fit as baby grows.
These soothers come with a sturdy, reusable box for hygienic storage and practical sterilization.

It is modelled like the nipple when breastfeeding. It promotes healthy oral development. It has been proven that natural sucking not only serves to ingest food but also helps to develop important skills such as proper swallowing, chewing and ultimately speaking.
The NUK soother is so flat, thin, and narrow that it fits perfectly into the small mouth and leaves the tongue enough space for natural sucking movements. The correctness of this form is recognized by 100% of orthodontists, who confirm that NUK soothers do not cause tooth or jaw misalignment.
The popular NUK soother now impresses with a wonderful new design: It gives the famous heart-shaped mouth shield even more flowing, softer shapes and brings the charming little ring up to date in fashion. For a new classic that makes this little face look even cuter.

NUK Pacifier FAQs
When should I change my child’s pacifier size and why?
When should I change my child’s pacifier size and why?
As baby grows, so does the size of their palate. Therefore, they require a larger pacifier baglet for proper soothing. NUK® offers pacifier sizes at every stage of development starting from Newborn to 36 months. We suggest you change your baby's pacifier size at 2 or 3, 6 and 18 months of age.
Round pacifier nipple vs asymmetrically-shaped pacifier nipple: why is asymmetrical better?
Round pacifier nipple vs asymmetrically-shaped pacifier nipple: why is asymmetrical better?
The original NUK® orthodontic nipple is asymmetrical to promote healthy oral development. Its natural shape mimics mom’s nipple while breastfeeding and the scoop bottom nipple allows for maximum tongue movement. NUK pacifiers also promote the natural development of baby's teeth and jaw through integrated channels on the orthodontic nipple that reduce jaw and palate pressure.
What do I need to know about pacifier hygiene?
What do I need to know about pacifier hygiene?
Before your baby uses a new NUK® pacifier for the first time, sanitise the pacifier by boiling it in water for 5 minutes. For daily cleaning, wash with hot water and mild detergent, then rinse clean. NUK pacifiers are dishwasher-safe, top rack only. Water may get inside the nipple during cleaning, and can be removed by squeezing the nipple. For hygiene and safety, replace pacifiers after 2 months of use.
How often should I replace my pacifier?
How often should I replace my pacifier?
For hygiene and safety reasons, we recommend replacing pacifiers after 2 months or if any tears or cracks appear.
